When I mention the word “honeymoon", my fiancé immediately sat up and repeated these three words like a mantra: “Water, Beach, Relax”. Lol! He sounds like an overworked individual, and perhaps he is but darling forgive me when I say that your idea of a honeymoon is completely boring! =)
What comes into your mind when the word “honeymoon” is uttered? I would prefer a place where I can relax, pamper myself as well as do what shopaholics always do – shop till my fiancé drop! (Note to self: bring sufficient credit cards!)
However, I find it hard to get to places where I can relax on the beach, pamper myself with spa sessions and do my shopping therapy.
Pangkor Laut Resort – This is a great beach resort in Malaysia (since we’re there for the destination wedding anyway) but there’re no shopping opportunities there.
Paris, Milan – too expensive, can’t afford to shop there and there’s no beach, but there’s lots of LV! =)
Maldives – I don’t really feel like going so far, don’t ask me why.
I don’t have a bikini figure to show off while sun tanning on the beach. No scuba diving for me as well because I can’t swim (I don’t eat fish lol). I don’t like sun tanning because it hurts when you’re sun burnt and it doesn’t look cool when you’re tanned. I just like the ambiance of the beach, soothing wind blowing towards your face, bright blue sky…
Perhaps Bali or Phuket? I have been mulling over exotic beaches such as these, and places like these won’t cost us an arm and a leg, definitely cheaper compared to well known European beaches. A honeymoon suite could cost up to a thousand bucks per night, mind you. Maybe we should consider staying at Bali for 2 nights (for spa sessions + some good old rest and relaxation) and fly to nearby Bangkok for another 2 nights of pure shopping bliss. I have heard that body massages in Bangkok are very relaxing and dirt cheap so I swear I’ll go for it!
