Contrast to most western wedding dresses, the dresses worn in Malay weddings are very colorful. The groom’s outfit usually match the colors and style of the bride’s costume. Some of the most beautiful (and colorful) bridal outfits can be found in Malaysia. The white wedding gown though from the Western world can be seen to have influence in other cultures.
Wedding is an elegant affair in any part of the world. Malay brides tend to have lots of colors on their wedding dress. Like many of the other Asian cultures in the area, a Malay bride will have at least 4 types of different dress for each occasion on the special day. I cannot imagine selecting more then a single dress. Its stressful enough already as it is. Typical western bride may likely faint at the thought of the added stress or may be the additions will add more sparks into their wedding.
