Wedding Dress Color & Your Skin Tone

A red dress is a perfect party look if you’re aiming to make a statement. You should approach with slight caution as it’s not quite as easy to wear as you might think. Red is such an overpowering colour that it can leave you looking washed out, especially if you have a pale complexion. Darker toned girls can go for bright, pillar-box shades.

I disagree. I think red is a universal color that looks good with any skin tone. If you look at the wedding dress designer websites, most of them featured in the red dresses have dark hair and pale skin.

I agree. Pale skinned people shouldn't wear red. I'm Asian with pale-to-medium skin and I look horrific in white, but good in red.

Nicole kidman wore red for an awards show and looked drop dead gorgeous, proving any color..including very pale skins can wear red

It's wrong to say those with pale skin shouldn't wear red. It's all about tone.Bright red looks best on those with darker skin and those with pale skin and dark hair look stunning in deeper reds as the contrast is stunning

Red color looks bold , confident ,sexy ,attractive.Red stands as different symbolic representation in different places for different things. In some places it is judged as a color of happiness, love, passion, courage, good luck, and one that eliminated all evil spirits, and brings prosperity. Red bridal dress is an incredible fashion rebellion.
