Find the style of bridesmaid dresses that will be a beautiful match with your wedding gown. The dresses need to match and the bridesmaids themeselves need to match.
Ideally you should have people who are within +/- 2.25″ in height and +/- 6 lbs in weight. Definitely almost identical proportions is strongly recommended. They must have matching hair. The ones who are different must dye their hair. Its a requirement their hair MUST match YOURS.
They must have identical eye color.
Kidding aside (and in case you did not catch it, that was humor and sarcasm). Putting the bridesmaids in different style dresses that suit the bridesmaids is perfectly fine. They do not have to match precisely. Most brides simply match the color or as close as possible in shades of color in the entourage.
There are no rules on bridesmaids dresses. You can pick your bridesmaids dresses or let them pick it themselves. Go with what works best for you and your bridesmaids.
