A touch of color

by Jessica Lang

If you decide on a red-themed wedding ceremony, one of the important items you will need to consider is your veil style and color. It is up to you if you would just add a discreet red touch or make it the dominant color.

Red veil

Ruby stones will make beautiful accessories to compliment your red wedding. A red motif is also ideal for a Christmas wedding. Go for red silks, satins, or velvet for your tablecloths and draperies while choose red brocade bows to exude a festive mood. Red balloons will also make exciting additions to your décor. You could even release them at some point in the wedding for a romantic effect.

If your wedding is being held in winter, the use of red or any other bold color is definitely elegant and romantic. It would make an otherwise dull and cold season vibrant and lovely. Imagine wearing a deep red wedding gown with a long train on a snow white setting. You will surely take everyone’s breath away.

Red roses

A red wedding, of course, calls for red flowers. They could either be the classic roses placed strategically in your bouquet or as accents in several spots at your wedding venue. The linen on your reception tables could also be in red. Doing this would more than spice up your theme. It would also remind your guests of Valentine’s Day and invite that romantic feel.
