· Sari

Probably the most popular traditional Indian dress worn by women is the sari. It usually consists of a long piece of cloth wrapped around a woman’s body and symbolizes chastity and femininity of the Indian woman. These days however, you can bring more life to the sari as a wedding gown, by fusing it with the latest wedding fashion designs that suit your tastes. You can also add more color and vibrance to this outfit by using a bright red fabric adorned with intricate patterns, so as the cultural influence remains present.

China

If you want to see where bright red weddings usually take place, then China is the place to go. Brides wear the traditional crimson cheongsam when committing themselves to their groom, since red is the color of love, prosperity, passion and good fortune. The closed-neck cheongsam dresses have become a popular wedding dress especially during the sixties. Thus if you choose to wear a Chinese cheongsam, you not only fuse two different cultures, but as well two different fashion genres in special event.

Malaysian wedding dresses

Thai wedding dresses can be a silk wedding dress or traditional handwoven cotton wedding dress or even made of modern synthetics.

Spice Up with a taste of Southeast Asia

The countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are known for their own set of traditions and practices, as well as their intricate designs and patterns which reflect their culture.

Japanese Kimono Wedding Dress

Indonesian patterns suit well to your gown, especially when you opt to wear a corset. They can also be donned on a Japanese obi, that is if you opt for a truly Asian-inspired wedding. Malaysian outfits on the other hand deal more with Muslim designs and patterns, while Thai and Vietnamese motifs are best suited with water-garden weddings. You can also see the brides shine like red rubies during their wedding day.

Vietnamese wedding ao dai

So, since fusion is the it-word in today’s wedding fashion trend, then why not fuse these influences to spice up your wedding? Not only will you have the most memorable wedding event, you’d sure be walking down the aisle as a red hot bride!

Hi,

I just want to know where to get the Pink Japanese Kimono that is posted on your website. It's beautiful. Is it for weddings or just a normal kimono?

Hi,
My fiance and I are planning a Feudal Japanese themed wedding and I am looking for a Kimono style wedding dress. I want the flow of the dress to be more modern (I still want a train and I would like an a-line cut), but I want it to still have the pattern and colors of a traditional kimono. I also want the dress to be silk. I don't have any bridal stores in my area that have the style I so badly want and I really don't want to end up with a dress that I didn't really want because I can't find my dream dress. I guess I'm looking for advice on how I can go about getting my dream dress for this beautiful wedding we're planning.
