Generously kind celebrating for a great cause

Who says you can’t be a red hot bride if you don’t have a groom? Well, one beautiful single girl stood up against the odds and wore her dream wedding gown, walked down the aisle, and promised to commit her life-not to a lucky man, but for a life-saving cause.

Let’s meet 40-year old Jennifer Bradley. She’s smart, pretty, empowered. At her age she has already achieved everything she asked for, and she admits she couldn’t ask for anything more. But if there’s one thing most people find missing in her, it’s that she’s not yet married. Jennifer, however, thinks differently.

“I am not a bride, nor have I ever been,” she recalls. “But I’ve always wanted to wear a wedding dress since I was eleven.”

While most people think that the only time a woman can wear a wedding dress is on her wedding day, but for Jennifer, any girl can be a bride even without a groom. Thus, she went her way and fulfilled her childhood dream.

Last July 26, 2008, Jennifer Bradley walked down the aisle wearing a gorgeous red wedding gown on her SINGLEBRATION party. The event was like any other wedding ceremony, but more than tying the knot with the man she loves, Jennifer rather promised to spend her life celebrating her status of being single.

Jennifer felt really FABULOUS that day as a red hot bride, and together with four attendants (who happened to be single girls as well), she wore a veil, a band, a ring, and of course, an exquisite dinner attended by special guests who joined her in this celebration.

But the SINGLEBRATION was more than just an acclamation of being single. Just like any bride, Jennifer vowed her undying commitment-not to man, but to help persons suffering from multiple sclerosis. In fact, she even set up a gift registry booth at the venue, and all the proceeds will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. During the party she was able to raise $6,000.00. Jennifer aims to reach her $20,000 goal on her next SINGLEBRATION event.

A Dream Come True

Jennifer’s SINGLEBRATION paved the way for her to achieve her dream of wearing a wedding dress, and she admits that she found it very difficult to find that gown of her dreams.

“I’ve always wanted to be a red hot bride,” she smiles. “Especially after seeing the movie To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Love, Julie Newmar, I have decided that I won’t wear any kind of wedding gown unless it’s red.” It took her quite some time to search for that red wedding gown, and after days and nights of browsing on online bridal shops, she finally stumbled upon the sizzling hot “Nola”, a Maggie Sottero creation.

“Most bridal shops don’t offer red wedding gowns because they think nobody buys them,” Jennifer says. “Well, I did!”

Jennifer’s SINGLEBRATION had produced over 600 photos, and she’s proud to say that finally, she was able to reach her dream: to be a Red Hot Bride!

This is cool! I want to be the bride who wore red as well. Although, I am really more of the traditional type, this idea is a-ok!

Is it a taboo to wear a red wedding dress? If not, why are so few wearing them. Is it against a religion? Is there a negative stigma attached to it. Red is associated to love and romance isn't it?
