The red gown is gaining mainstream popularity. While red has not become the latest styles and fashion trends in wedding gowns, it has its place and growing popular. Remember, white wedding dress tradition is a fairly recent development. Mary, Queen of Scots, and Queen Victoria wore white at her marriage to Albert of Saxe-Colburg. Queen Victoria’s wedding photographs were widely publicized, sparking an interest in the white wedding dress throughout the Western cultures and beyond. It was not even until up to the 1950s where white was finally adopted as mainstream trend throughout Western society.
