Couture to Medieval Wedding Gown

A beautiful wine red duchesse satin with gold trims and split chiffon sleeves. Exquisite medieval to renaissance wedding dresses can be found at Rivendell Bridal.

If you have ever dreamed of being a princess, and have long been fascinated with stories of medieval knights and ladies, or have romanticized of sharing the adventures of timeless classics such as “The Lord of the Rings", “Wheel of Time” or “Narnia", then you will probably love these dresses.

Beautiful design from Karen Jarmarkier

This was taken at Oakley Hall, Hampshire for a shoot for Karen Jarmarkier’s wedding dresses and bridesmaids’ dresses.

Karen has been desigining and creating couture bridalwear for over twelve years. It has been a life long love of textile design, pattern cutting and creating couture bridal gowns and eveningwear.

The Hampshire based studio and shop is home to an exclusive collection of bridal wear ranging from traditional classics to the more dramatic and renaissance style.

How nice to see some red wedding dresses! I married in a red and black dress and people were quite shocked :) I bought the dress from Herve Marriage, who do an amazing job at red dresses!

Anyway, here's a picture of my wedding (sorry for the long link):

Is it a taboo to wear a red wedding dress? If not, why are so few wearing them. Is it against a religion? Is there a negative stigma attached to it. Red is associated to love and romance isn't it?
