A wedding is about getting married and staying together as a couple. But for the bride, a wedding is also about planning, planning and some happier planning! The wedding dress is the personal choice of the bride. Every bride-to-be wants to look her best on her wedding day. Even with a gorgeous color like red, some planning is essential to perfect that look.

Red wedding dress and gown are the usual favorites these days and there are different combinations of styles that can bring out the perfect wedding dress. Never leave anything till the last minute. Even if you are absolutely sure of a dress, try it before you buy it. Red can enhance your charm like no other color. But yes, your accessories also come into spotlight on your wedding day, so select the right ones to look terrific.

Yummy red diamond tiara

Hair gear: consider your hairstyle. Will you tie it up or leave it loose? Your veil must sit prettily on your head, covering your face. Try different hairstyles before you choose the one. Do not leave everything to your makeup professional, even if they are experts. You could opt for hair bands and beautiful hairclips or bows. Your veil must ideally be netted and light. If it is a complicated hairstyle, have all the clips in place and use good gel for setting the hair.

Beautiful red wedding shoes

Shoes: though high heels seem good, you can wear cute flats that make it easy to walk or dance. Your comfort is more important than sexy stilettos, so make sure you wear the slippers days before the wedding to avoid shoe-bites later. Choose from elegant slippers to cute wedge heels.

Jewelry: if you are dressing in red, then the accessories could be in diamond or silver or platinum to complement the deep hue of the dress. Accessories must be elegant and ideally, minimalist. You wouldn’t want to look like a jewelry tree, would you? But yes, if the gown is simple, then striking jewelry can complete the look. Do not go for too much all over. Do away with tongue rings and the likes for a day. Bracelets, necklace, watch, armlet, nose ring, ear rings are all good accessories.

Delicious ring to go with your dress

Wedding ring: the most important item in your accessory list. Your wedding band could be made of precious stone or gold or whatever you choose. Make sure it is comfortable and not too loose or too tight. Your culture might have special traditions regarding wedding ring, so consider that as well. This is a ring for eternity, so choose wisely.

Red lilies

Flowers: a bouquet of fresh flowers is ideal. You can choose from traditional roses or wild flowers that look chic. Or you could go for silk or satin flowers to preserve.

Wedding dresses and accessories are important for bridesmaids too, so look into that. But the outfits of the bridesmaids must never overshadow the bride’s look for the day. Ultimately, accessorizing is all about the right mix and match for the right look. Minimal, flamboyant, exotic, every look is yours for taking. Go ahead and accessorize smart!

Is it a taboo to wear a red wedding dress? If not, why are so few wearing them. Is it against a religion? Is there a negative stigma attached to it. Red is associated to love and romance isn't it?
