Almost all brides opt for white or a shade of white in America. The use of the white wedding dress continued in popularity, but for the most part, lost much of its symbolic meaning. What would it take for a bride to choose a different color dress for her special wedding day?

There are other color options and I wonder how many would end up picking red. Does your dream wedding dress have red in it? Will you go with tradition set in the last two centuries? I believe red wedding dress will be the norm over time. It will survive the test of time and you will look back in your photos 20 years from now and show your daughter how you were a dare and bold red hot bride. For the time being, choosing to go red can be difficult because you may get some opposition from your family, religion, and friends even. Wearing red is all about the personality of the bride. Go RED HOT if you truly believe a red wedding dress represents who you are. Each and every time a bride chooses red; the word about your wedding will get out very rapidly. Red is the trend to go!

I'm getting married in red - my bridesmaid is in deep purple.

Silver is another way to go - or black, white and red...

I am getting married in august, and white is definitley not my colour. I was searching for a dress, and found a red one, that isn't even a wedding gown. it's silk and chiffon, and the most beautiful creation! One question, does a white veil go with a red dress?

Is it a taboo to wear a red wedding dress? If not, why are so few wearing them. Is it against a religion? Is there a negative stigma attached to it. Red is associated to love and romance isn't it?
